Hegel Music Systems has introduced its HD30 statement DAC/streamer.
The HD30 use separate transformers and power supplies to isolate sensitive circuits from the "noisier" components. This and the carefully planned layout give the HD30 a noise floor of -150dB.
Attention has also been paid to jitter, including phase noise. The master clock has been re-designed, with careful matching of transistors and the clock crystal. This yields lifelike sound, perfectly imaged as only a true reference DAC can produce.
The HD30 supports PCM up to 24/192, DSD64 and DSD128, using a pair of AKM4490 DAC chips in a dual mono configuration. It is also a reference class streamer with both UPnP and Hegel's excellent AirPlay support.
The following are the connectivity options for the HD30:
- Inputs (24/192)
- AES/EBU
- BNC
- Coaxial
- Optical
- Inputs (24/192, DSD64, DSD128)
- USB
- Ethernet (UPnP, AirPlay)
- Outputs
- XLR
- RCA
