Pink SOFA room/guy: All of the after-market (acoustic) items
are NOT required for that listening room.
Interestingly, the most important ‘acoustic/reflective
concern in the photo room would be (FER -First Early
Reflections – floor reflection specifically ) is not addressed
at all ?
(The thin area blanket between the loudspeakers does
nothing (acoustically) to absorb floor FER for either L/R
loudspeaker. Nor is the ‘fat cat’ (sitting on top of the speaker)
offering anything acoustically useful. I believe you’ll enjoy
superior SQ when existing acoustic diffusor’s in the room are
removed and appropriately thick floor area rug positioned
directly in front of the loudspeakers considered.

Thank you for your observations.
In fact, the addition of the absorbers and diffusors to the rooms have produced a significant improvement in the soundstage and imaging, as was expected.
The floor first reflection has not proven to be an issue in the space. The absorbers on the front and back walls have allowed very good sound in a small space that would otherwise have been quite difficult. The support a wide soundstage that also has good depth, even though the speakers are quite close to the wall.
The soundstage is now wider deeper and higher. Individual instruments now image more solidly and specifically in the soundstage and are better separated from each other. The carpet is not in place to absorb the floor first reflection, but simply as part of the furnishing of the room. I have found that the first reflection off the floor is the least problematic of the first reflections, but I continue to experiment with it. The Entreq Vibb Eaters on top of the speakers also do make a contribution to the sound by absorbing and attenuating loudspeaker cabinet vibrations.
