German loudspeaker and cable manufacturer, Göbel High End demonstrated their flagship loudspeaker the Divin Majestic. In another demo room they launched the Epoque Aeon Reference loudspeaker.
The massive Divin Majestic was driven by a full system from CH Precision of Switzerland. The analog front end was a Kronos Audio Pro turntable supplying a Kronos Audio Reference phono preamplifier.
The system provided an excellent account of Nils Lofgren's audiophile classic "Keith Don't Go" on vinyl. All the nuances of Lofgren's guitar playing were presented with impressive realism. Joe Morello's drumwork on "Take Five" was presented with amazing dynamics and textural detail. With "Sweet Baby James" from Jacintha's new album, "Fire & Rain" the system revealed a wonderful rendition of female vocals, delivered with a very palpable sonic image.
A great system.
