AURALiC announces the release of Firmware Version 4.0 for its Aries family of wireless streamers available for 2016-09-11.
This update introduces the Lightning playback engine V2, which provides a host of new features, including:
- Bit-perfect Group Play, which allows you to group several Aries streamers and synchronise the for simultaneous playback, up to DXD and DSD256.
- Memory Cache, which pre-loads muisc into device memory and plays from there, improving sound quality.
- Support for multi-channel PCM and DSD files.
