Five Minutes On … with Daniel Barenboim

5 Minutes On ... is a YouTube playlist of 8 videos presented by the celebrated conductor and pianist, Daniel Barenboim.  In each short video Barenboim provides insights into a famous piece of classical music for the piano.

As a bonus here's a film by award-winning film maker, Christopher Nupen, called "The Trout."  The 1969 film features five young classical musicians in rehearsal and in concert playing the piano quintet in A major, D. 667, by Franz Schubert, popularly named "The Trout."  The young Pinchas Zukerman, Zubin Mehta, Itzhak Perlman, Jacqueline du Pré and Daniel Barenboim, in their early twenties, all went on to have outstanding performing and recording careers.
