American subwoofer and loudspeaker manufacturer, SVS, had several of their products on display. Among these were the new Prime Wireless powered speakers and the Wireless SoundBase streaming amplifier.
A pair of Prime Wireless loudspeakers can either be both powered or one powered and one passive. The powered speaker has four channels of 50W amplification to drive its woofer and tweeter and those of an attached passive speaker. The Wireless SoundBase is a 150W per channel integrated amplifier.
The Prime Wireless and the Wireless SoundBase both have analog, optical digital, wired and wireless network, and Bluetooth inputs, and a subwooofer output. They can stream music at up to 24/192 over a network, as well as from online streaming services. They are controlled via their front panels or using an iOS or Andriod app.
SVS also set up a 5.1.2 home theatre system in their booth. The system consisted of a pair of Prime Tower floorstanding speakers, a Prime Center center channel speaker, a pair of Prime Bookshelves speakers, an SB-4000 subwoofer and a pair of Prime Elevations height speakers. The speakers were driven by a Marantz AV receiver with an Oppo Blu-ray player as its source. The system showed of the full range dynamic capability of the SVS prime speakers and the SB-4000.
