Singapore-born, British violinist Vanessa Mae will represent Thailand as an alpine skier at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Socchi, Russia.

Vanessa-Mae, an avid skier since her childhood, qualified to represent Thailand as he father was born there.  She will ski under the name of Vanessa Vanakorn.
