This is the Day One mini-report from High End 2019.  The first day of the show was taken up with business meetings and a general walk through.  While I didn't do much listening, some of the systems were definitely noteworthy.

The Joseph Audio Perspective 2 Graphene speakers, driven by electronics by Aluxity sounded wonderful.  This small floorstander produced amazing bass quality and quantity.  It threw a huge soundstage, high, wide and deep, with great imaging.  The sound was agile, with great resolution and tone.

The Meze Audio headphones all impressed with excellent, enjoyable sound.  The flagship Empyrean excelled, driven by the Auris Audio Nirvana headphone amplifier.

Also impressive was the massive Western Electric vintage horn system driven by tube electronics from Silbatone Acoustics.
