Wireworld Cat8 Cables

Wireworld has introduced its family of Category 8 ethernet cables, the Chroma Cat8, Starlight Cat8, and Platinum Starlight Cat8.

Tidal Introduces MQA Streaming

Tidal, the music streaming service, is now providing MQA streaming with its new Tidal Masters service.   Check the post "MQA (Master Quality Authenticated): An Insight" to learn more about MQA.

Tidal Masters initially offers some 199 current and classic albums, including titles from the extensive Warner Music Group catalog.  Tidal claims to have over 30,000 MQA tracks and the Tidal Masters selection should expand well beyond this initial offering.

Wireworld Starlight CAT8 Ethernet Cable Reviewed

The new Starlight Cat8 ethernet cable from Wireworld has been reviewed by computer audio Web site AudioStream.

Computer audio listeners who think that cables, particularly ethernet cables, don't matter, think again!  In bestowing on the Starlight the coveted AudioStream Greatest Bits award, the reviewer stated:

"...I find the Starlight CAT8 Ethernet Cable to be an extraordinary performer with the ability to reproduce fine transient detail and dynamics that are lost with other Ethernet cables."

Firmware Update for AURALiC Aries and Aries Mini Wireless Streamers

AURALiC announces the release of Firmware Version 4.0 for its Aries family of wireless streamers available for 2016-09-11.

This update introduces the Lightning playback engine V2, which provides a host of new features, including:

MQA (Master Quality Authenticated): An Insight
